Health & Safety
We’re so happy to have you back in the theater! To ensure the health and safety of all our patrons, visitors, volunteers, crew members, and performers during the evolving COVID-19 pandemic, we’re instituting a few rules. Please note that this policy may be revised at any time based on CDC guidelines; changes to federal, state, and local laws; and information currently available to the Footlighters’ Board of Directors. Please watch this space—and check your email inbox if you’ve purchased tickets—for any updates as we monitor the situation and communicate changes. Welcome back!
Buying & Presenting Tickets
By purchasing tickets online, you must confirm you 1) have been fully vaccinated or will be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 by the date of the performance you are attending, 2) will abide by our posted health and safety measures, and 3) will not attend if feeling ill, showing any symptoms, or have had any known contacts recently exposed to COVID-19. (In general, a person is considered fully vaccinated 2 weeks after their second dose in a 2-dose series, such as the Pfizer or Moderna vaccines, or 2 weeks after a single-dose vaccine, such as Johnson & Johnson’s Janssen vaccine, per the CDC.)
Please note that guests over age 12 will be required to show proof of vaccination or a negative COVID-19 test (antigen or PCR) that was administered no more than 72 hours before their ticketed performance. You may display proof on a smartphone (e.g., a photo of your card) or present a physical copy. Guests under age 12 must have a negative test under the same parameters.
If you are and will remain unvaccinated, and/or if you feel ill or show any symptoms at the time of the performance, please stay home.
If you feel ill and cannot attend, call the box office at (859) 652-3849, and we will make every effort to accommodate ticket exchanges to a different date/time/performance of the same show, based on availability.
Digital or print-at-home tickets will be issued if you buy online. You can also purchase tickets by calling the box office at (859) 652-3849. Walk-ins can also buy tickets at the box office in person before the show, availability permitting.
To reduce touchpoints, you can view the program online; it will be available to download on the website and sent via email to ticket holders. A limited number of hard-copy playbills will be available at performances for those who want them. We will not be reusing these like in the past, so please keep yours if you get one. There will also be a posterboard of sponsors and a monitor with a rotating digital playbill available for viewing in the building.
Let's Stay Safe
All patrons, visitors, volunteers, and crew members must wear a facemask at all times while indoors at The Stained Glass Theatre—even when seated. Performers will be unmasked while on stage, but they will be required to wear a mask at all other times. If you do not have a facemask upon entry, you will be provided one.
All Footlighters volunteers, crew members, and performers are required to be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 before being involved in our events and productions.
Where possible, please follow social distancing guidelines. Note that we will be seating at full capacity, however, which is why we require all nonperformers in the building to stay masked at all times, even when fully vaccinated.
Consumption of food or drink will NOT be permitted inside the building at this time. We do plan to have concessions available for outdoor consumption, weather and availability permitting. The cost of these single-serve snacks, drinks, and water bottles is donations.
Bathrooms and high-touch surfaces will be sanitized before the theater doors open, before intermission, and after every performance. The armrests of our brand-new theater seats will also be sanitized before and after each performance.
Hand sanitizer will be available for use throughout the building.
While we are taking safety precautions to reduce the risk of exposure and infection of COVID-19 and its variants, you voluntarily assume all risks related to the virus by attending our in-person events.
Thank you for your cooperation, patience, and understanding as we navigate this uncharted territory and look after the well-being of all our friends. We hope to see you at the theater!
